BIOLIGHT Medical Hair Therapy uses photobiomodulation or Low-Level Laser technology (LLLT) to rejuvenate and treat hair thinning in patients with androgenetic alopecia. The laser light stimulates the hair follicles and provides uniform scalp coverage, reduces thinning, and promotes hair growth. The BIOLIGHT Laser Hair Therapy cap features 272 cool laser diodes and is powered by the provided rechargeable lithium battery.

The XL BIOLIGHT laser cap has built-in auto-sensors, meaning the cap switches off if not on the head. The recommended treatment is 6 minutes daily (1 session) or 12 minutes (2 sessions) every other day.

Wondering why the cost is higher for an XL?

Good question! We found that there was a need for a larger dome and when we went back to our manufacturer, we found a solution with an upgraded technology we could apply to this size. While we debated the change, knowing it would come at an extra cost, we decided it was worth it.

So, the pricing reflects the upgrade to the laser boards to include the auto-sensors and the scarcity of these production runs for this particular sizing.

The difference between the regular size and the XL size includes the auto-sensors which turn the lasers off when the dome is removed from the head (eliminating any potential eye hazards), and the duration of time recommended for treatment is 6 minutes daily (1 session) or 12 minutes (2 sessions) every other day.
